§ 54-47. City clerk compliance with law.

Unless otherwise provided by the Cash Basis Law, K.S.A. 10-1101 et seq., the city clerk shall not knowingly issue, attest, sign or countersign any order, warrant, check or evidence of indebtedness, on the city treasury, in payment of any indebtedness of the city created by the board of city commissioners in excess of the amount of funds actually on hand in the treasury at the time for such purpose.
