§ 18-242. License required.

It is unlawful for any person to advertise or conduct or carry on in the city any sale of goods, wares or merchandise at retail that is represented as quitting business, going out of business, complete liquidation, business termination, or other similar sale, without obtaining a license for such from the city clerk. All sales governed by the provisions of this article shall be conducted on the place of business described in the application and license. The city clerk shall issue or refuse to issue the license within five days after receipt of the application.
